wooooow. wowwow. wow. that was so achingly realistic. that went straight to my soul. there were a few times reading that when i just said "oh." and needed to take a breath. that was so incredibly beautiful and true and heartbreaking and...reminiscent. i'm rambling now because i just have so many feelings for this story..
you know he doesn't mean it, that you won't be enough, so it's better to draw the lines from the start and hold yourself at arm's distance. i do this, only i've never been able to put it into words like that....this line hit home for me.
Is it heartbreak, you wonder, if you knew what you were getting into right from the beginning? ughughugh. so beautiful.
there were so many other moments where i wanted to recount and comment, but there's too many, so i'll just bookmark this story and read it again and again.
