twilight20. Beth and Julia have my heartfelt thanks for helping me out. ♥
Running with the pack is like coming home for the first time, the wind blowing in his face, brushing back fur and temporarily wiping away all his worries and heartbreak. It's as if he's finally learned to fly, and he can feel the texture of the sand under his feet, the muscles in his thighs straining as he leaps forward, an undeniable joy rising inside him.
Knowing what he'd become had been horrific at first – terrifying in its finality and permanence – but the pack had kept him grounded. And it’s moments like this that make everything worth it, because he’s alive in a way he’d never been in the past, and his brothers are all around him, a part of him, both voices in his head and solid bodies at his side. His happiness mingles with that of his family's, their howls mixing with his own, rising in a booming crescendo that echoes in the night sky. The hooting of an owl can be heard far off in the distance, and the ocean's roar is like a soothing balm on his soul, droplets of water spraying onto his fur as he rushes forward, laughter ringing in his chest.
Everything he feels in those priceless moments stay constant, and the elation in his heart will always remain, because everything is reborn like a phoenix rising from the ashes. Every day is another beginning, and every run is like that first run, where the ecstasy is shared and unforgettable and he's Jacob Black of the Quileute tribe, whole like he’d never been before.
+ Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

is absolutely perfect. And like I said before, this piece right here reminds my cold heart why I love Jacob (against my better judgement).

It's definitely one of my favourites too. It's just so happy and calming, and I was listening to it when I first started writing this fic. :)
